The solo exhibition by Fikret Libovac titled “…in Drawing” will open on June 20 at 8:00 PM at the Manifesto Gallery of Contemporary Arts, Despićeva 3.
One of the most prominent Bosnian-Herzegovinian sculptors, Fikret Libovac presents a selection of recent works that continue his decades-long “play” with the boundaries between sculpture and drawing. Using his signature material — wire — Libovac “draws” in space, transforming negative space, or emptiness, into relief sculptural forms.
In doing so, the artist shapes human and animal figures that enter into mutual interaction within the exhibition setting. With a minimalistic visual expression, the works featured in the “…in Drawing” exhibition remind us that the line should not be viewed merely as a formal element, but also as a philosophical constant through which we understand and shape the world.
The exhibition “…in Drawing” will remain open until July 12, 2025, and all interested visitors can view it during regular gallery hours — from Tuesday to Saturday, 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and Sunday from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
