The calls for projects for the 2025 special funds – CEE (Central and Eastern Europe), SEE (South-Eastern Europe) and Maghreb – are now online!
As Poland takes over the presidency of the Council of the European Union in the first half of 2025, the FGYO supports trilateral encounters bringing together German, French and Polish young people and contributing to the Weimar Triangle. The European project is more than ever on the agenda and encounters dealing with the EU accession process are a priority. 2025 will be an important year for remembrance work, with the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War. Finally, the encounters are intended to support young people's commitment against racism, anti-Semitism and Islamophobia, and in favour of democracy and environmental protection.
As far as the eligible countries are concerned, certain countries of the EU's Eastern Partnership (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine) can be partner countries under the special CEE fund, as well as the other countries in the region. In the SEE call for projects, we are particularly interested in projects involving young people from North Macedonia and Greece, and projects bringing together Serbia and Kosovo or Bosnia and Herzegovina. Encounters with Serbia and Croatia are also eligible.
The funding per project phase can amount to a maximum of 25,000 €.
All information on grant criteria and priority themes can be found on website:
The deadline for applications is on the 1st of November 2024.
An internal FGYO jury will choose the encounters that will be supported by the CEE, SEE or Maghreb special funds. We would like to point out that priority is given to youth encounters.
In January 2025, we will announce the selected projects.
In order to give you a more detailed presentation of the special funds and to support you with your application, the FGYO is organising two online meetings in September 2024. If you are applying for the first time or would like to have more information on the funding conditions, we invite you to register for these online exchanges in French or German:
– Web-Café in French on the 16 September 2024 from 5 to 6.15 pm/CET
(Registration deadline: 9 September 2024)
– Web-Café in German on the 17 September 2024 from 5 to 6.15 pm/CET
(Registration deadline: 10 September 2024)
